Dr. Seuss Inspiring Reading happens during regular camp hours on both July 20 and July 21. Each day is packed with themed read-alouds, hands-on activities, and a few surprises.
Story Circles
Lively read-alouds of classic Dr. Seuss favorites and new twists, led by Camp Ignite teachers and guest readers.
Seuss Crafts
Make tall hats, create silly rhyming bookmarks, and bring Seuss characters to life with art projects.
Rhyme Time
Group games, wordplay challenges, and Seuss-style silly songs that make phonics fun.
Reading Take-Home
Every camper leaves with a book or reading keepsake to continue the adventure at home.
Pack for a day of imagination.
- Camp Ignite shirt — wear it proudly both days.
- A favorite book (optional) — campers can share a beloved story with their crew.
- Backpack with water bottle, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.
- Lunch & snack — meals are not provided; pack enough for a full day.
